4-Week Arm Balance Workshop Series with Nathania & Supporting Teachers

Work on your arm balance game!! Since it looks like we’re home for another little while, let’s take this time to get strong and make real progress in our arm balance practice!

This workshop series if perfect for beginners to arm balances as well as more seasoned students. Join SoulPlay Flight Squad (that’s you!) in breaking down the fundamentals of arm balances and take quality time to work on uplifting your physical practice to the next level.

Each class will be recorded and available in a special section of the on-demand library. You will have access to this FOR LIFE and will be able to revisit it and re-train it anytime.

This series includes:

  • 4 weeks of live training with 90 minute zoom classes

  • WhatsApp group to chat with the community about progress, wins and face-plants during the week in between meetings

  • Lifetime access to the class recordings through a members-only section of the on-demand library

  • Cheat Sheet of pose alignment points for every pose we learn so you can refer to it anytime!


CURRICULUM

WEEK 1: FUNDAMENTALS OF ARM BALANCING

 - Hand activation
 - Wrist warm ups
- Core & warmups based on the arm balances you are training
- Joint stacking
- Shoulder positioning and actions
- Weight shifting, Gaze & Bandhas


WEEK 2: CROW POSE, THE GATEWAY ARM BALANCE 

 Crow Pose is the gateway arm balance! If you’re brand new, you’ll learn to get into this little shape that will begin to build your arm balance practice. We will cover variations, entrances and exits, modifications, accessibility tips & tricks to start taking your practice off the ground.

If you’re a seasoned Crow Poser, you’ll learn variations including one-legged crow pose, fingertip crow pose, crow push-ups and more!


WEEK 3: REVOLVED ARM BALANCES

    - Side Crow
    - Koundinyasana A
    - Fallen Angel
- Astavakrasana (8-angle pose)

WEEK 4: OPEN LEG & HIP ARM BALANCES

    - Koundinyasana B
    - Visvamitrasana
- Tittibhasana - firefly 
- Flying Pigeon
- Grasshopper
